Shaving for the truly bad at it.
so me...
SKINBODYGENERAL
I don’t want to make this article too long, so I will try to explain my current shaving routine quickly.
As you may know, I am quite possibly the worst shaver on earth…That being said, I am always willing to apply new knowledge. And while I was surfing the internet, I came across this routine. It is really AMAZING! I feel like a new woman. AND I haven’t cut myself shaving in months now! A true miracle lol.
Here’s what you will need:
A good, not cheap razor
Sugar scrub
Soap
Exfoliating glove
Witch Hazel
Good lotion or moisturizer
Here is what I use:
It’s a man’s razor, but it goes with my shower aesthetic so I got it.
Some other options my friends use are:
(my friend swears by her flamingo.)
Maybe I will try all these razors and do another article.
Then I use this sugar scrub:
(again it goes with my aesthetic lol)
But I desperately want to try this one!!!
Maybe one day!
My soap of choice:
I love this brand
Paired with this exfoliating glove
Witch Hazel of choice:
It’s nothing fancy
For Lotions I mix 2:
Sol De Janiero, for the smell
Advanced Clinical's, for the retinol
So once you have all this stuff the routine is easy:
Get in the shower, warmer water to open pores.
Sugar Scrub the area you are going to shave to exfoliate dead skin off.
Rinse off.
Put on soap or shaving cream. For this part I use my exfoliating glove to spread on my soap because I just want to make sure all the dead skin is gone so I get the closest shave possible.
Using a good razor, shave.
Then rinse.
Once you are out of the shower, pat dry your body, and put on witch hazel. This helps kill anything that wants to irritate your freshly shaved skin.
Then apply lotion. Especially to where you shaved. This will help the skin calm down and be super smooth.
And that’s it! It takes a long time, but now I am not bleeding all over the place, I rarely ever have razor bumps, AND my shave lasts longer.
It is really worth a try.
Now Bye-bye,
Butter
